1. What is a free folder?
A free folder (FF) is a folder that:
- could contain any type of question (MCQ, UCQ, ASSO, ZONE, NUM, Short Answer, Essay)
- the order in which learners answer the questions is not imposed (all the questions are displayed, and learners can start by answering the last one if they wish, and then go back to the previous ones)
- answers can be changed after saving (as long as you save again for the change to take effect)
- the order of questions can be displayed randomly by ticking the option in the advanced options for exam content or self-assessment
2. When should a free folder be used?
When you want to prepare an exam subject consisting of several questions. A free folder (FF) can be played in an exam, a self-assessment questionnaire or a training session. It can also be used in a random folder. Several co-authors can be added to the folder to help edit the questions.
3. Advice on using free folders
If you want to be able to display the questions in a random order, you need to be careful not to make the questions dependent on each other and to include all the information you need to answer in the instructions.
4. How do I create a Free Folder?
- 1: Click on “FF” in the question management interface (QMI)
- 2: Give the folder a title
- 3: Create the folder
5. How do I add questions to a FF?
The various tabs are used to manage the folder’s parameters and attributes. To add content to a free folder, go to the “content” tab and click on “Add questions”.
